Theory Level 1

Learn about music fundamentals online - time signatures, rhythms, notes (treble and bass clef), intervals, chords, major scales and minor scales. This class is excellent for all band students part of the Azure Music program AND non band students, making it a great supplement to all music education.

• Rhythms 4/4, 3/4, 2/4, 2/2, 6/8
• Writing in counting and clapping rhythms
• Dynamics
• Half Steps, Whole Steps, and Accidentals
• Concert Pitch and Transposition
• Intro to Major Scales
• Intro to Minor Scales
• Intro to Chords (Triads)

Composition

Learn the fundamentals of music composition. This class will take place online. Students who would like to submit a song for a class to possibly perform at the concert can do so by January 15/26.
