What’s New at Azure Music Studio?

WHAT’S NEW AT AZURE MUSIC STUDIO?

The Fall season is just getting started and we are loving some of the exciting new changes that we have set in motion over the summer of 2013!

As you may know we have been expanding like crazy! This year, in an effort to offer you more unique and diverse music education, as well as keep up with our growing number of students, we have moved into a second location. The Azure Music Ethnomusicology Department is now open at 48 Brentwood Blvd. In addition to offering classic private lessons at this location, we will also be educating the community in the traditions of African hand drumming, Early American music (Blues & Jazz) as well as Brazilian music studies and a variety of other Ethnomusicological programs.

New to the Azure Music Studio is our brand new state of the art recording facility. Bands, recording artists, students and music lovers of all kind now have the opportunity to show off their love for music and all of their hard work with their very own demo or album. In addition to recording your original music and favourite songs, we are also offering a whole host of electronic music and recording technologies classes for producers, composers and hip hop enthusiasts. Gain skills in live sound, audio recording, producing your own tracks, and much more with our skilled sound technician.
Music Anywhere is a new initiative that we have put forward this year in an effort to support our rural communities and offer more convenient options for our existing Azure Music Family members. We acknowledge that many people today lead a busy lifestyle and in response to this trend we are now offering the same affordable, quality music education you’ve been enjoying for years, in the comfort of your own home via Skype.
In line with our expansion and growing number of students, we have added a few new teachers to our roster. Stuart “Thot” Driedger is our new recording technician and electronic music area leader. He will be teaching all recording technologies, electronic music private and group lessons as well as producing all recording artists. Sean Bishop is our new violin instructor, he also teachers guitar, piano and voice. Shaun Hwang, a local drummer has also joined us this season specializing in drumset, hand drums and orchestral percussions. Flautist Katie Griffith has also come on board teaching flute and will also be teaching all private and group theory classes.
