Tues-Fri ensembles 1 hour per week for 1320 mins of instruction 22wks @60 mins, Mondays 19 wks @70 mins. These classes take part in the year end Showcase concert. To register please follow the registration link (through Dance Studio Pro). Registration is complete when a portal account has been created and $100 tuition (registration fee plus the 1st month) has been paid. Ages 12+ Students are required to have their own wind instrument (flute, clarinet, saxophone, trombone, tuba, etc) and bring a music stand to class. All music and a folder provided.
Ages 12+, Percussion Ensemble registrants may be eligible to pay an additional instrument rental fee depending on concert performance. These classes do not take part in the showcase concert at the end of the year. Classes will run either 6 weeks, 10 weeks or full year as specified. Some classes are in person while others are online. Ages 4-9, Fun Drum is a 6 week x 45 minute class designed for students wanting to experience drumming in an auditory, high energy style. This class uses world percussion such as djembes and auxiliary percussion.
This class is an online class via google meets and uses a theory method book (purchased separately) Ages 9+
This class is an online class via google meets and uses the program MuseScore, a free composition software. Students will require access to both the video call and MuseScore simultaneously. A minimum of music Theory Level 1 is required to enrol. Ages 9+
Students will have group instruction from a professional musicians of their instrument/section. Additional talks and workshops will be included. Topics TBA. Please bring stand, instrument, a pencil, notebook and food/water. Registration opens June 15/24

Group classes, ensembles and workshops can be enrolled in through our online Azure Music registration portal - HERE
Each family must have an active portal account to receive class updates and notices.
Students must complete the registration process and complete payment to be enrolled in the class. Special schedules, e.g. holidays and no class days are predetermined on the approved Azure Ensembles program /calendar. All guardians/students will be required to sign a waiver on the first day of class.
To ensure the safety and health of our students, faculty, and staff, we ask everyone to please stay home if you are sick. Parents/students can mark upcoming missed classes through the online Azure Music portal.
When enrolling in a group class, workshop or special event payment must be completed in accordance with the arranged payment schedule for that class/term.
When enrolling in a full-year ensemble, payment of the registration fee plus the first month tuition ($100) is due. The following 5 months of tuition are automatically charged to the credit card on file. Tuition and 1st month tuition ($55+$45 = $100) is final sale and will not be refunded under any circumstances. Classes such as Fun Drum, Workshops and Theory classes are non refundable but are transferable to another participant with permission from Azure Music.
Please note that if an account has two failed credit card payments in 6 month period, the family will lose the option of automatic monthly instalments and must pay the remaining balance in full to continue classes.
Students inquiring about one time pay in full payment options must email Vanessa at azureensembles@gmail.com to make arrangements.
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide make-up classes or refunds for group classes or ensemble rehearsals missed by a participant.
If the instructor is sick and no substitute instructor can be found, the class will be cancelled. A make up class OR a credit back to the student’s portal account.
For the benefit of all students, class sizes must be limited to those enrolled. We are not able to accommodate unregistered siblings as participants in classes.
There will be no refunds for students who withdraw from a class, workshop or theory class (non-ensemble class); however, the spot in the class is transferable to another eligible participant. Please notify by emailing azureensembles@gmail.com
If a student needs to withdraw from a a term registered group ensemble class (such as wind ensemble, percussion ensemble or beginner flute/clarinet ensemble) the student will have up to 30 days before the class has started to withdraw with written notice via email to azureensembles@gmail.com. The $100 (registration fee and 1st month tuition) is non refundable but any other paid fees will be refunded on full year enrolments and/or monthly charges will not be processed.
Withdrawing from an ensemble class during the months of November to March require 60 days notice written notice to Vanessa by emailing azureensembles@gmail.com This longer notification period is due to the substantial fees that are associated with sheet music, chart preparation, rental costs and administration. Once notification has been received and the 60 day notification period has lapsed, a refund will be issued for any prepaid tuition.
If a students behaviour is deemed consistently disruptive to a class, after consultation with the parent, the teacher will have the right to refuse entry to the class. No refunds will be issued.
Group classes and ensembles require a minimum number of enrolled participants to run. Activities may have to be cancelled if they fail to meet their minimum number. In this instance, participants will be notified at least two weeks in advance, and will receive a full refund within 30 days of cancellation notice.
Ensembles will not run on all statutory holidays. Please check our online calendar for holidays and other important term dates. View schedule link and PDF here
Students are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early to assemble instruments and other materials required for class; however, students are forbidden to play their instruments in the hallways before or after class.
Indoor shoes may be required based on the location. Students will be notified in advance if shoes are required.
Please help by ensuring items are cleaned up after class. This includes the bathroom areas. Thank you in advance!
All students and instructors of Azure Ensembles are expected to be respectful. There is a zero tolerance policy for damage/harm to people and property.
Anyone who exhibits behaviour deemed to be disrespectful will be immediately withdrawn from the class for the remainder of the full year term duration and will NOT be refunded.
Students enrolled in ensemble program are expected to perform in the year end showcase concert.
Students enrolled in an Azure Ensemble class will have access to the performance. Tickets will be available to purchase for family and friends within 30 days of the performance.
ACCOUNTS MUST ACCEPT IN THE PORTAL REGISTRATION AND READS AS FOLLOWS:
As the account user, (the registrant or the guardian), hereby gives consent to have still photos and video taken for advertising and/or in studio purposes. PLEASE NOTE: All performance and showcase concerts are videotaped and may be sold to families for purchase and may be used by Azure Music in promotional materials.
I understand that if photo and video of the registrant cannot be shared for any reason, I have the responsibility to notify Azure Music's administration by emailing azureensembles@gmail.com immediately to ensure that the appropriate steps can be taken to ensure the privacy of the registrant.
